1. Introduction
Doddle Electric Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having CIN U34300MH2021PTC360534 and GST No. 27AAICD5025D1ZY (hereinafter referred to as “Doddle Electric”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”), issues this Warranty Policy (“Policy”) to customers (“Customer”) who purchase Doddle Electric vehicles and associated components.
This Policy defines the manufacturer warranty applicable to Doddle Electric vehicles and supersedes any statements, representations, or conditions mentioned in advertisements, catalogues, or promotional materials.
This Warranty Policy forms an integral part of the Purchase Terms and shall be read along with the User Manual.
2. Definitions
For the purpose of this Policy:
- Battery: Lithium-ion battery supplied with the Vehicle
- Charger: Off-board charger supplied at the time of purchase
- Vehicle: Doddle Electric two-wheeler including Battery and Charger
- Warranted Part(s): Battery, Charger, and all vehicle components excluding consumables
- Defect: Manufacturing defect in material or workmanship affecting normal functioning
- Normal Use includes:
- Usage as per the User Manual and applicable laws
- Charging only with the supplied charger
- Proper storage, operation, and maintenance
- Usage as per the User Manual and applicable laws
- Warranty Period: As specified in Clause 4 or 20,000 km, whichever occurs earlier, starting from the invoice date
- User Manual: Official operating and maintenance instructions issued by Doddle Electric
Warranty remains valid irrespective of change in vehicle ownership.
3. Warranty Coverage
Subject to this Policy and under Normal Use:
- All Warranted Parts shall be free from manufacturing defects during the applicable Warranty Period
- Battery capacity shall not degrade beyond 30% of published nominal capacity during the Warranty Period
Warranty Remedy
- Doddle Electric’s obligation is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts
- Repairs may be carried out by Doddle Electric or its authorized service partners
- Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or reconditioned, provided functional equivalence is maintained
- Replaced parts become the property of Doddle Electric
- Warranty on repaired/replaced parts is valid only for the remaining original warranty period
Battery replacement may not restore an “as-new” condition but will meet functional requirements based on age and mileage.

Warranty applies only to vehicles purchased from authorized dealers.
Replacement parts under warranty are free of cost. Labour charges, if applicable, shall be borne by the Customer as per prevailing service rates.
5. Warranty Claim Requirements
- Original purchase invoice and warranty registration
- Vehicle must be presented promptly after defect detection
- Defects must be reported within five (5) days of occurrence
6. Exclusions
This Warranty Policy does not cover damage or defects arising from:
6.1 Misuse, Negligence, or External Causes
Accidents, impacts, theft, vandalism, unauthorized modifications or repairs, use of non-approved accessories or consumables, software tampering, failure to install updates, overloading, racing, off-road use, improper charging or storage, environmental exposure, acts of God, or force majeure events.
6.2 Normal Wear and Tear
Components subject to regular wear including brake pads, belts, chains, seals, bushes, rubber parts, plastic parts, fluids, and lubricants.
6.3 Tyres & Tubes
Tyres and tubes are consumable components. Warranty coverage is limited strictly to manufacturing defects identified within seven (7) days from the date of purchase. Damage due to punctures, cuts, impacts, improper inflation, road conditions, misuse, or normal wear and tear is not covered.
6.4 Noise and Vibration
Normal operational noises, vibrations, rattles, or squeaks.
6.5 Cosmetic or Surface Issues
Paint fading, discoloration, scratches, or surface deterioration due to usage or environmental exposure.
6.6 Identification Tampering
Removal, alteration, or defacement of VIN, chassis number, or motor serial number.
6.7 Improper Transportation
Damage caused by improper handling, lifting, or transportation by the Customer or unauthorized parties.
6.8 SIM Card
The SIM card is non-user replaceable. Any tampering or unauthorized replacement attempts will void the warranty.
6.9 Consequential Loss
Loss of time, income, transportation, inconvenience, or indirect or consequential damages.
6.10 OEM Component Warranty
Components covered under separate OEM warranties are governed solely by OEM terms.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer shall:
- Read and comply with the User Manual and this Policy
- Perform maintenance only at authorized service centres
- Retain service and purchase documentation
- Install software updates when notified
- Comply with recall advisories
- Follow legal usage and weight limits
- Transfer this Policy and User Manual to subsequent owners
8. Limitations & Disclaimer
Doddle Electric bears only the cost of replacement materials under warranty. Transportation, incidental, or related costs shall be borne by the Customer.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD SPECIFIED HEREIN.
9. Post-Warranty Services
After expiry of the Warranty Period, all repairs and replacements shall be chargeable at prevailing rates and subject to applicable service plans or subscriptions.
10. Data Usage
Vehicle data may be used to validate warranty claims and ensure policy compliance.
11. Policy Control & Updates
No employee, dealer, or agent is authorized to modify this Policy. Doddle Electric reserves the right to revise this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Vehicle constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
