Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the return, refund, replacement, booking, and cancellation terms for products and services offered by Doddle Electric Pvt. Ltd. (“Doddle”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By placing an order, making a booking, or paying any amount towards a product or service, the customer (“Customer”) agrees to this Policy.
1. Electric Cycles, Scooters & Mopeds
Due to the nature, size, usage, and regulatory considerations associated with electric vehicles, returns or refunds are not accepted for:
- Electric cycles
- Electric scooters
- Electric mopeds
- Accessories purchased along with the vehicle
Once delivered, the sale of electric vehicles and related accessories is considered final.
If the product is received in a damaged or defective condition at the time of delivery, the Customer must refer to Section 6 – Damaged or Defective Products.
2. Pre-Booking & Booking Amount (Non-Refundable)
Any pre-booking amount, booking amount, token amount, or advance payment made by the Customer towards the purchase of any product or service offered by Doddle is non-refundable under all circumstances, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by Doddle Electric Pvt. Ltd.
Where applicable, such amounts may be adjusted against the final invoice value at the time of delivery.
Cancellation by the Customer after payment of any booking or advance amount shall not entitle the Customer to any refund.
3. Electric Battery Packs
3.1 Return Eligibility
Electric battery packs may be eligible for return within 1 (one) calendar day from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
- The battery pack must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
- The product must be returned in its original packaging
- Valid proof of purchase must be provided
Battery packs showing signs of use, installation, tampering, or damage shall not be eligible for return.
4. Refund Process
- Upon receipt of the returned product, Doddle will inspect the item
- If the return is approved, the refund shall be processed after deducting:
- Return shipping costs
- Cancellation fees
- Handling, inspection, or restocking charges
- Any other charges incurred by Doddle in processing the return
Refunds shall be credited to the original mode of payment within 28 (twenty-eight) days, subject to banking and payment gateway timelines.
5. Return Shipping & Charges
- All return shipping costs shall be borne by the Customer
- Any logistics, handling, inspection, administrative, or related charges incurred by Doddle shall be recoverable from the Customer
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- Applicable charges may be deducted directly from the refund amount
6. Electric Motor Kits, Components, Accessories & Parts
Due to the DIY nature of electric motor kits and the risks associated with handling high-voltage electrical components, all such purchases are made entirely at the Customer’s own risk.
Doddle shall not be responsible for any damage, injury, or loss arising from improper handling, installation, or usage.
Accordingly, no returns or refunds shall be accepted for:
- Electric motor kits
- Motor controllers
- Throttles
- Pedal assist systems
- DC–DC converters
- Any accessories, components, or spare parts
7. Damaged or Defective Products
7.1 Reporting Timeline
All products undergo quality checks prior to dispatch.
If a product is received in a damaged, defective, or incorrect condition, the Customer must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery.
7.2 Reporting Process
The Customer must email info@doddle.in with:
- Order details
- Clear photographs and/or videos of the damaged or defective product
- Images of the original packaging (where applicable)
Claims reported beyond the stipulated timeline may not be accepted.
8. Replacement Process
- Upon verification of the claim, Doddle will arrange a replacement, and a free return pickup may be arranged where applicable
- Replacements shall be processed within 15 (fifteen) working days from claim approval
- Replacements are subject to product availability
No cash refunds shall be issued where a replacement is provided.
9. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:
- Used, installed, or tampered products
- Products damaged due to misuse or improper handling
- Products returned without original packaging or proof of purchase
- Clearance, promotional, or discounted items (if applicable)
10. Policy Control & Updates
Doddle Electric Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Policy at any time.
The Policy published on the website at the time of purchase or booking shall be applicable.
